and yet Delaware approved the licensing of 3 dispensaries (1 each county) by 1/1/13 and 3 more by 1/1/14 after the April DOJ letter. Thanks for the article, although this portion:

“They have veritable dream-teams of expert staffers and some have tens of millions of dollars ready to invest.”

Took the wind out of my sails with the idea of spending the next year putting together a proposal. I’ll call it a reality check. Thanks

Prohibition fuels crime, and the federal marijuana prohibition is no exception. That’s why there are so many drug dealers on our streets and prohibition-related murders in Mexico. We can’t allow this mistake to continue any longer!

We need legal adult marijuana sales in our supermarkets, gas stations and pharmacies for exactly the same reason that we need legal alcohol and tobacco sales – to keep unscrupulous black-market criminals out of our neighborhoods and away from our children. We have to stop wasting taxpayer money and undermining our children’s safety – marijuana must be made legal to sell to adults everywhere that alcohol and tobacco are sold.
